Where can I buy a flag or a flagpole in Portland?
Rose City Awning & Flag sells U.S. flags, the Oregon state flag and other state flags, military flags and commemorative flags such as the POW-MIA and 9/11 Flag of Honor, for indoor and outdoor use, through our online flag store. Flagpoles in aluminum, steel and fiberglass are ordered by phone from our NW Portland shop.

Flagpoles, in three materials
We sell aluminum, fiberglass and steel flagpoles, including Bolander poles. Flagpoles aren’t sold online: call the shop and we’ll talk through height, mounting and the flag you plan to fly.
Aluminum
Light and rust-resistant; the everyday choice for a yard or a storefront.
Fiberglass
Non-metallic and corrosion-resistant, with a smooth painted finish.
Steel
The heavy-duty option, often chosen for taller poles and exposed sites.

By the mid-1970s, the sign read Rose City Flags & Flagpoles. We still sell both from the same shop that sews the awnings, and an indoor U.S. and Oregon pair stands in the showroom today.

Can I buy a flagpole online?
No. Flags are sold online, but flagpoles are ordered by phone. Call (503) 226-2761 and we’ll talk through aluminum, steel or fiberglass, the height and how it mounts.
Do you have indoor flags?
Yes. We sell indoor and outdoor flags, including indoor U.S. flags with gold fringe like the pair displayed in our showroom on NW Nela Street.
Can I see flags in person?
Yes. The showroom at 2728 NW Nela St is open Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday and Saturday by appointment. Call ahead to check what’s on hand.
